MASTER CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
The Defense Procurement University offers a special
masters Certificate. The Master Certificate in Government Contracting is
available to those who complete the entire core curriculum of five courses,
plus any two qualifying specialized courses (FOR MORE INFORMATION SEE 2002
TRAINING CATALOG (SYLLABUS).
This continuing education Certificate programs is
designed for those in industry and government who have made a professional
commitment to the field of contract management and who aspire to excellence
in its many facets. The program is built around a core curriculum that
offers a comprehensive, integrated treatment of the wide range of subjects
that must be mastered to achieve true competence in procurement. Specialized
courses augmenting the core curriculum allow candidates to tailor the
program to their areas of interest or professional responsibility.
We recommend attending the core curriculum courses in
the order listed. (SEE 2002-2003 TRAINING CATALOG (SYLLABUS). The
Specialized courses should be taken only after completion of DEFERAL
Enrollment in the Masters Certificate Program:
Anyone who attended two or more courses during
2002 is automatically enrolled as a Masters Certificate candidate and will
be notified periodically of his or her credits toward a Master Certificate.
Applicants with pertinent education or experience may
substitute up to two qualifying specialized courses for core curriculum
courses. To apply for substitutions, submit an application form, available
from Defense Procurement University.
Use of the DEFENSE PROCUREMENT UNIVERSITY
video-based procurement programs as the building blocks for designing
in-house seminars or a complete in-house training curriculum. Or use them to
augment your existing training materials.
Each package gives your in-house facilitator the core
content, along with all the written guidance and material needed to prepare
and present small-group sessions. The facilitator need only add the
specifics that will enable participants to transfer what they learn to your
organization’s operating environment.
